Introduction
As February 2018 is drawing to an end I am experiencing some exciting life changes!I have recently been considering my options for a new career. I was initially going to retrain to be a primary school teacher but unfortunately that option is no longer possible.
The Second (Better) Option?
For several years now I have had the desire to teach Martial Arts . I used to help teach the kids at my Tae Kwon Do Classes and I really really enjoyed it. I never actually believed that becoming a martial arts instructor was a realistic possibility for me due to a lack of self belief paired with the fact that I never really researched if it is even a possibility!I have always had the desire to get REALLY good as martial arts practitioner. Again, a combination of lack of self belief and lack of time (really?) have prevented me from chasing that dream too.
The Opportunity
Wing Chun International (WCI) has changed all of that for me! I have just "enrolled" to train to be an Instructor for the organisation! It is going to be a long and challenging road but the path is being laid out in front of me and I am excited for the challenge. It is exactly what I need!I am 100% confident that with some dedication and investment on my part added to the support that WCI offers I can start to make two of my dreams become a reality!!!
The Dream
I will become an excellent martial arts practitioner !and
I will become an excellent Wing Chun Kung Fu Instructor!
And what is more, I will help a lot of other people to achieve their dreams along the way!
The Reality
I have enrolled onto WCI's Master Classes. This means that I get to train under the instruction of Sifu Scott Rowlinson - Head Of Wing Chun International United Kingdom. This is in addition to my current training under Sihing Simon Dommett (but will soon substitute it completely).I have signed up to become a fully qualified instructor. For now I will be an Assistant Instructor and will work under Sihing Simon. Sihing Simon is gradually moving to Manchester (to run WCI North West) and my aim is to take over some of his WCI schools here in the West Midlands.
It seems that there is only one thing to do now... TAKE MASSIVE ACTION!!!
